Would you like to use the same workflow within Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to patch Microsoft products and non-Microsoft products? With Shavlik Patch you can! You have two ways to use the product:
- If you are using SCCM 2012 or later: Install the Shavlik Patch add-in to the SCCM console. The add-in, working in conjunction with the Shavlik Patch update catalog, provides access to updates for your legacy and non-Microsoft products. You then publish the updates using the add-in within SCCM.
- If you are using SCCM 2007 or prefer to use the Shavlik Patch catalog with SCUP: Download the Shavlik Patch catalog file. The catalog file consists of a number of patch update files that can be imported into Microsoft System Center Updates Publisher (SCUP). You use SCUP to publish the update files to SCCM. You then use the normal SCCM patch process to deploy those updates.

With cloud-based agents you can manage agent machines that are never on the same network as your console. As long as an agent machine has Internet access, it will be able to send results and get updates using the cloud. You can also create and distribute keys that are used for manually installing agents onto machines that are disconnected from your network.
Welcome! Shavlik Protect® Cloud provides the following capabilities:
- Shavlik Patch – Extends your investment in Microsoft System Center by providing patch support for non-Microsoft applications such as Adobe Flash, Oracle Java, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and many more.
- Cloud-based Shavlik Protect® agents - Eliminates the need for your agents to communicate directly with the Protect® console. Your agents can check in and receive policy updates from the cloud, and you can install an agent using the cloud.
